I’m Laura, an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor specialising in creative, child‑centred therapy for ages 5–18.
I have over 20 years experience of working with children and families in various therapeutic roles.
I mainly support children and young people who are struggling following significant life events and changes. I use art and play based approaches such as sandtray and imagery to help them explore their experiences safely and at a pace that feels comfortable. My areas of expertise include:
-
Attachment & relationship difficulties.
-
Parental separation.
-
Grief & loss.
My approach brings together a blend of well‑established therapeutic models, which allows me to tailor support to each child’s individual emotional world.
-
Transactional Analysis
-
Psychodynamic
-
Humanistic
Using these approaches together means I can meet children and young people exactly where they are, offering support that feels compassionate, thoughtful, and empowering.
Alongside my twenty years of front-line experience, I also have experience of providing training and consultancy to organisations around building child-centred and trauma responsive environments.
